Hospice at Home
Helping people live out their lives in dignity and comfort in their own homes is Montgomery Hospice's core service.
That is because living safely and comfortably at home can be one of the best ways of supporting quality of life at the end of life.
Hospice caregivers, including a nurse, make regular visits wherever Hospice at Home patients live, including extended care facilities.
Trained volunteers are available to help with errands and provide companionship. Other hospice team members are on call 24 hours in case patients need help quickly.
Hospice at Home accepts patients living alone who have no caregiver. When there is a crisis that cannot be managed at home, Casey House can be a valuable safety net.
Family members of Hospice at Home patients can receive bereavement care for over a year after a patient's death. This care helps families adjust to loss.
